POSTPONED: POOLE v PLYMOUTH (BSN SERIES)

POOLE have moved quickly to re-arrange their BSN Series home clash with Plymouth for this Friday (May 24) after the weather once again intervened.

The fixture has fallen victim to adverse conditions for a third time on Wednesday, and it means the group-deciding home and away encounters between the Pirates and the Gladiators will now take place in the space of just over 24 hours this weekend.

Poole promoter Dan Ford said: “The weather has conspired against us once again with yellow warnings in place and rain throughout the day.

“We have moved swiftly to rearrange the fixture for Friday as we are keen to get our group matches completed as soon as possible, so that the competition can progress to the semi-final stages, of which we are determined to be part of.

“Although Fridays are not a regular race-night for us, we are hoping that we can still attract a good, enthusiastic crowd and with, generally, no school on Saturday, those levels may be increased, especially with our ‘kids go free’ offer.”
