
SCB STATEMENT: LEE COMPLIN
On Wednesday 15th May 2024 following the breach of the Anti – Doping Regulations the Speedway Control Bureau held a disciplinary hearing for Mr Lee Complin.
The hearing took place at the ACU House in Rugby.
Mr Complin attended the hearing and pleaded not guilty to the charge of –
017.2 Breach of Rules –
• f) any proceedings or acts prejudicial to the interest of the sport
• k) the presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers in the body
After hearing all the evidence provided regarding the test taken at Berwick Speedway on the 6th April 2024 and subsequently the confirmation of the test results from Eurofins Forensic Services Laboratory, the Disciplinary Panel found Mr Complin guilty of the two charges as per above.
Having considered all the mitigation prior to sentencing the Disciplinary Panel imposed the following penalties –
- As of the 6th April 2024, suspension of both his ACU Licence and SCB Registration for a period of 20 months
- To pay cost to the value of £2000, this to be paid over the 20 month period
- Prior to applying for his Licence and Registration for the 2026 season produce a segmented hair test for a period of 3 months, at Mr Complin own expense.
Mr Complin Championship Club Glasgow facility for his absence has been extended by 14 days and will end on the 30th May 2024.
