SCB STATEMENT: JASON DOYLE
On Monday 22nd April the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) had been in conversation with both the Ipswich Promotion and Jason Doyle reference the travel issues for Mr Doyle to get back to the UK in time for the Ipswich fixture at Belle Vue on the evening of the 22nd.
Having received documentation from the airline that Mr Doyle was scheduled to be on, the flight had technical issues and was unable to fly, the Ipswich Promotion as well as Mr Doyle tried to make alternative arrangements to get to the UK.
Due to the plane having technical issues at the scheduled departure time, there were no other flights available for Mr Doyle to board that would get him to the UK in time for him to get to Belle Vue.
Unfortunately, the only option for Ipswich was to use the No Facility regulation, however for Mr Doyle as this issue out of his control there will be no further penalty.
The SCB will be making no further comment.
