ELLIS: IT’S A HAPPY CAMP
IPSWICH birthday boy Adam Ellis says team spirit can take the Witches a long way in this season’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.
Ellis marked his ‘debut’ for the club on his 28th birthday – a decade after previously appearing in their colours – with a score of 7+1 in the impressive win over Belle Vue on Thursday.
He said: “It didn’t feel the best out there but it was a great team performance, everyone chipped in and it was a great way to finish it.
“The team spirit is brilliant. I think that comes from Chris (Louis), Ritchie (Hawkins) and Danny (King), these guys have been here for a long time and they’ve obviously brought a fun mentality into the team, and it makes a big difference.
“The best team I was ever part of was Swindon in 2019, and we had a great team spirit then. It seems like it’s kind of the same here, so hopefully we can have a good year.”
