FRIENDS REUNITED FOR ACES
BELLE Vue skipper Brady Kurtz believes team spirit will be the key to another play-off challenge in the Sports Insure Premiership this season.
The Aces have retained the bulk of the side who were a whisker away from reaching a third successive Grand Final last year, with Kurtz’s fellow Australian racer Ben Cook coming into the top five and Connor Mountain a new recruit at reserve.
Kurtz said: “The last couple of years we’ve had really good teams. Last season was no different and the same for this year, we have a fantastic group of guys.
“Dan [Bewley] and I are really good friends, always together during the week, mountain-biking and doing whatever else we can get up to.
“Me and Jaimon [Lidsey] have been friends for many years as well. It’s been cool to have all us three together. We’ve had great teams and I’ve really enjoyed being at Belle Vue the last few years.”
