COMETS SIGN UP VUOLAS

WORKINGTON have signed a second newcomer to British Speedway with the exciting capture of Finnish racer Antti Vuolas.

The 24-year-old, who is part of the Lublin set-up in Poland, sprang to prominence during the World Cup in Wroclaw last summer with a sensational race win over former World Champions Nicki Pedersen and Jason Doyle.

Comets promoter Andrew Bain said: “We have been looking at Antti for a while now, he’s still young but has already beaten some World class riders on the continent, so for him to agree to ride for us in 2024 is testament to what we’ve achieved here at Northside.

“Antti has already expressed to me how good the new Northside track looks on social media, but when he gets here I think he will love it even more and it will suit him down to the ground. Also our fans I’m sure will give him a very warm welcome!”
