EMIL: LEAGUE TITLE TARGET

IPSWICH No.1 Emil Sayfutdinov says the Witches can build on their KO Cup triumph as they bid for a place in the Sports Insure Premiership Grand Final.

The Foxhall side overcame Sheffield over two legs last week to put silverware in the cabinet and now face Belle Vue in the play-off semi-finals, with the first leg at home on Thursday after the initial rain-off in Manchester.

Sayfutdinov said: “We deserve to be in the play-offs and fighting for the Final. Now we need to get into the Final. We must try everything to be in that Final.

“Of course, we must respect the other teams, Belle Vue, Wolverhampton, Sheffield. But we showed on Thursday what a strong performance we can put on.

“Last Thursday it was a great night for us and especially the fans. It was an amazing feeling being with them all and it made it a great night together.

“I’m really enjoying this year. But now, we must try and win another trophy.”
