PETER MORRISH

BRITISH Speedway is saddened to hear of the passing of long-serving administrator and official Peter Morrish.

Peter held numerous roles within the sport and was a familiar voice to supporters of Coventry and Wolverhampton in particular, with lengthy spells in the announcer’s box at both Brandon and more recently at Monmore Green.

He also worked within British Speedway Promoters’ Ltd as a statistician and for many years held the position of Co-ordinator of the National Development League – and he was also a skilled writer and author, being involved in many speedway publications.

Aside from all of his speedway work, Peter was also a passionate supporter of Bolton Wanderers FC.

We send our condolences to his family and friends and pay tribute to his outstanding service to the sport.
