JOE BACK FOR WITCHES

IPSWICH have handed Joe Thompson a return to their team in the first leg of the Premiership KO Cup Final at Sheffield on Monday.

Thompson started the season with the Witches in their Rising Star berth but was replaced by his brother Dan in mid-June – and Joe will now guest for the Foxhall club as Dan is ruled out with shoulder trouble.

Manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “After Joe left, he got injured pretty quickly but since he has come back from that and moved to Poole, he seems to have really kicked on and is getting some great scores in the Championship.

“It is great to see him come back and do really well and I’m pleased to offer him the opportunity to come back in, and I’m sure he will do a good job.”
