SCB STATEMENT: MARK PHILLIPS

At the Birmingham v Plymouth Championship fixture on Wednesday 6th September there was an incident prior to the start of heat 2 where Plymouth Promoter Mark Phillips entered the track waving a red flag therefore forcing the referee to stop the running of the heat.

Having viewed the incident, the SCB have classed this a Breach of the 2023 SCB Regulation –

018.2 Breach of Rules –

f) An act prejudicial to the interest of any part of the ACU, SCB, BSP, or of the sport of motorcycling generally.

Mr Phillips has been issued with a cash penalty for this breach and has a period of 28 days to pay the fine.
