BANDITS CARRY ON
BERWICK owners Scott and Jamie Courtney have confirmed they will be back for an eighth season in charge next year.
The Bandits have suffered a disappointing campaign but are committed to running in 2024, although the club will step away from involvement in the National Development League.
Scott Courtney said: “After three seasons of competing in the NDL, the club will be taking a break from that level.
“The Bullets have been almost entirely funded by me and Jamie with the level of support nowhere near to covering the costs of the experiment.
“After an incredibly demanding season on and off the track, we have made the decision to channel our attention towards the Bandits and a revamped youth system for 2024 and moving forward.
“The reality is that Berwick Speedway has always been more than just a team that enters a league year in year out. Berwick Speedway is bigger and more valuable to the sport than we are all probably feeling right now.”
