PREVIEW: GLASGOW v PLYMOUTH (Cab Direct Champ)

GLASGOW start tonight’s (Friday) Cab Direct Championship clash with Plymouth in third place in the league table – but with the chance to move up.

The Tigers could go second if they defeat the Gladiators and second-placed Poole slip up at Scunthorpe.

The home side made a full-strength one-to-seven whilst the visitors are forced into changes with Dan Gilkes and James Pearson absent at the SON2 in Latvia, and Dan Thompson suffered a dislocated shoulder on Thursday.

Jacob Hook has been named as a guest for the Gladiators.

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “It’s now getting to crunch time. August is going to be a massive month for us and it starts right now. 

“We’ve got five meetings in 12 days coming up this month. We need to go up a gear now. 

“This is always when it gets to the business end of the season. August is when you need to be finding some momentum and belief that you can win trophies. 

“But we need to find more consistency now. I don’t feel we’ve really delivered a statement performance and show how good we can be. 

“That needs to happen now. I want all the boys to be on form and start really hitting big scores home and away. We need that if we are going to win silverware.”
