POSTPONED: PLYMOUTH v BERWICK (Cab Direct Champ)

TUESDAY’S scheduled Cab Direct Championship match was postponed with the track declared unfit as a result of the bad weather over the previous few days. The start was delayed to allow time to try and repair the track, but at around 7.45pm the decision was taken to call the meeting off.

PLYMOUTH are finally back in home action tonight (Tuesday) as they host Berwick in the Cab Direct Championship.

The refreshed Gladiators, including recent signings James Pearson and Dan Thompson, can move off the bottom of the table with a win.

The visitors are also seeking to gain ground on the play-off places, and include last year’s Plymouth skipper Hans Andersen for his second appearance for the club.

Bandits boss Scott Courtney said: “With each passing meeting the opportunities to get the points needed to grab that sixth place and a play-off spot grow rarer and rarer.

“Poole are always a tough ask, even at home, but the manner in which we stuck to our task and battled for every point was almost as important as the result.

“Again, it is a question of our riders doing their jobs and putting pressure on Plymouth. The potential is there for this to be the week that we propel ourselves back into the mix with five points at stake against Plymouth and Birmingham.”

PLYMOUTH: Kyle Howarth, Dan Thompson, Ben Barker, Dan Gilkes, Richie Worall, James Pearson, Ben Trigger.
BERWICK: Rory Schlein, Jonas Knudsen, Jye Etheridge, Leon Flint, Hans Andersen, Steve Boxall, Connor Coles.
