ROYALS DEFEAT COMETS

KENT enjoyed a welcome boost to their NDL season with a 50-40 win over Workington at Iwade.

Heat-leaders Nathan Ablitt (13) and Ben Morley (11+2) were well backed by guest Matt Marson with 10 as the Royals dominated the race wins on their own track.

Connor Bailey scored 12 for the Comets, who will look to hit back when the teams meet again at Northside on Saturday.
