PREVIEW: PETERBOROUGH v WOLVERHAMPTON (Sports Insure Prem)
PETERBOROUGH hand a debut to new signing Patryk Wojdylo when they face Wolverhampton at the East of England Arena tonight (Monday).
Victory at King’s Lynn last Thursday has given the Panthers genuine hope of moving off the bottom of the table, and a home win will take them above the Stars.
Wojdylo comes in at reserve as a replacement for the released Hans Andersen, whilst Wolves start the meeting in third place in the league table.
The visitors operate rider replacement for Rory Schlein, who is still recovering from his heavy crash at Oxford earlier this month.
Panthers boss Rob Lyon said: “We’ve looked at all options and I feel all in all that it’s a positive move (to sign Wojdylo), and we have to look onwards and upwards.
“We have eight home matches to go and we want to get a good, consistent home track for the boys, and I’m sure that can be achieved.
“It would be great to win the majority if not all of those matches to at least finish the season on a high.”
Wolves skipper Sam Masters said: “Peterborough have actually got a good team – why they’ve been struggling, I don’t know.
“We know they’ll push us, but we usually ride their place pretty well.
“We know we probably still need to win all of our home meetings and a couple away, so hopefully we can do that at Peterborough and battle on.”
PETERBOROUGH: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Richie Worrall, Benjamin Basso, Ben Cook, Vadim Tarasenko, Patryk Wojdylo, Jordan Jenkins.
