BOVINGDON IS 125cc CHAMPION
OLIVER Bovingdon was crowned British Youth 125cc Champion in a dramatic finish to the section at Scunthorpe on Friday.
Bovingdon’s rival Archie Rolph won the seventh and final round of the series to force a run-off for the British title.
But Bovingdon kept his nerve and won the decider from the inside gate with Rolph on his back wheel for the whole four laps.
Ollie Binns edged out Casper Kluczniak for the series bronze medal, ending up in third place overall.
Meanwhile Ashton Boughen all-but clinched the 500cc Championship by winning Round 5 – and he will be guaranteed the title by competing at Belle Vue in a fortnight. Jody Scott was second on the night with Ashton Vale third.
