GB YOUNGSTERS IN KRSKO

GREAT Britain’s 250cc Youth riders William Cairns and Cooper Rushen will be in Krsko, Slovenia on Saturday evening to compete in the first round of the 2023 FIM European 250cc Pairs.

Cairns was part of the GB trio who finished in fourth position in the same competition in 2022, whilst Rushen will be making his debut for GB.

They are aiming for a podium finish this year in the four-round series, which moves on to Sweden this month, and then rounds in the Czech Republic and Poland later in August.

Cairns said: “I have had experience of riding in this competition last season which was great for me, and I am sure Cooper will enjoy himself as I did last season.

“But our aim this year is to get a medal at the end of this four-round series, so we both want to get off to a good start this evening.”

*UPDATE: Meeting was postponed on Saturday due to a heavy thunderstorm, and will now be staged on Sunday at 1pm local time.
