PREVIEW: LEICESTER v EDINBURGH (NDL)

LEICESTER Lion Cubs captain Joe Thompson has been ruled out of tonight’s (Saturday) home clash with Edinburgh.

Thompson suffered a broken collarbone at Armadale last night and the defending champions have called up Connor Coles, who rode for them last year, to guest.

They also operate rider replacement for Tom Spencer with Kai Ward guesting for the injured Vinnie Foord, whilst the Monarchs Academy welcome back Jacob Hook, and former Leicester rider Mickie Simpson is back in their declared line-up at reserve.

Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “We will be looking to keep our home winning record going to pick up our first aggregate point of the season, in addition to the winning points.

“But Edinburgh will be a tougher challenge than last week with Jacob Hook back in their team, and also Mickie Simpson back.”
