PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v WOLVERHAMPTON (Sports Insure Prem)
KING’S Lynn will be without Danish racer Frederik Jakobsen for tonight’s (Thursday) Sports Insure Premiership clash with Wolverhampton.
Jakobsen has informed the club he wants to stand down form British racing, and the Stars will operate rider replacement with Nicolai Klindt named as captain.
The home side did defeat Wolves when the teams last met at the Adrian Flux Arena, but consistent form has seen the Monmore side move up to second in the table.
The visitors are without Rory Schlein who is suffering from recurring back spasms, and they too will operate r/r.
Klindt said: “I’ve been under-performing way more than I should, but we are working behind the scenes to try and get things better.
“Monday (at Belle Vue) was a step in the right direction, and it gives me some confidence looking ahead.
“We’ve got two important home meetings now against Wolverhampton and then on Monday against Leicester, and fingers crossed we can get the wins and also see a lot of people inside the stadium.”
Wolves star Steve Worrall said: “King’s Lynn have strengthened up bringing Artem in and they have improved the last couple of meetings.
“I don’t think they’ve fully clicked yet though and they still did lose their last home match.
“So I think we should try and take advantage of their situation. I know our last performance there wasn’t great, but we all know how to get around there.”
KING’S LYNN: Artem Laguta, Frederik Jakobsen R/R, Nicolai Klindt, Thomas Jorgensen, Michael Palm Toft, Kye Thomson, Jason Edwards.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein R/R, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
