PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v POOLE (Cab Direct Champ)

POOLE promoter Dan Ford is targeting another Plymouth double when his side make the trip to the Coliseum in the Cab Direct Championship tonight (Tuesday).

The Pirates won at their Devon rivals in the KO Cup recently, with subsequent results leading to the Gladiators making a team change with Ben Morley coming in to replace Paul Starke.

Morley makes his seasonal debut for the home side, who are also back to full strength with skipper Kyle Howarth and reserve Jake Turner returning.

Ford said: “Obviously we would love to do the double over them this week, and if we ride like we can do then that is achievable.

“But we know how tough they can make it for us down there, so at the very least we need to be looking at collecting the aggregate point, which is up for grabs on Wednesday.”

Morley said: “I was really pleased with how I did for them (Plymouth) last year and I was a bit gutted that I didn’t make the team at the start of the season to be honest, but to be given the opportunity to get back with them, I am looking forward to it.

“I know it’s not been going that well for the team this year, but if I can come in and help that and change things around, then it will be positive all round.”

PLYMOUTH: Kyle Howarth, Ben Morley, Ben Barker, Dan Gilkes, Richie Worrall, Jake Turner, Ben Trigger.
POOLE: Steve Worrall, Anders Rowe, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, Richard Lawson, Kyle Newman, Adam Roynon.
