STRONG NIGHT FOR ANDERS

ANDERS Rowe made a highly creditable SGP2 debut in Prague on Friday as he reached the semi-finals.

The Poole rider was a late call-up to the Under-21 event after being allocated a position on the reserve stand-by list, but showed he very much belongs at that level.

Rowe scored nine points in his five rides, including an excellent win in Heat 6, before missing out to eventual winner Mateusz Cierniak after a fine battle in Heat 14.

He exited the meeting in the first semi-final, whilst defending champion Cierniak won the Final in a Polish 1-2-3 ahead of Bartlomiej Kowalski and Damian Ratajczak.
