PREVIEW: LEICESTER v SHEFFIELD (Sports Insure Prem)

LEICESTER and Sheffield have both named full-strength teams for this season’s first live televised Sports Insure Premiership fixture tonight (Monday).

The sides clash at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beamont Park live on Eurosport and discovery+ and are level on five points in the early league table.

The Lions have collected all of their points so far at home whilst the Tigers have won one out of three on the road having been successful at Belle Vue back in March.

Sheffield No.1 Jack Holder and captain Kyle Howarth both missed the defeat at Wolverhampton last Monday, but the pair are due back for the trip to the East Midlands.

Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “We now have to focus on what is going to be a very tough test against Sheffield, and we have to keep looking at things from the same perspective.

“This meeting offers us the chance to get another two points, and our aim will be to get those on the board as quickly as we can and then try and win by as many as we can, if indeed we do win on the night!

“There is a lot of talent in the Sheffield team but we have to concentrate on what we need to do. It’s exactly the same riding order for us, nothing has changed, we’re sticking to the same thing and we’d very much like the same performance and result as against Wolverhampton.”

Tigers manager Simon Stead said: “When we’ve got a full side and when all seven of our side start firing, we’re really going to be a force to be reckoned with.

“We’re an outstanding team, we should have confidence to go anywhere and get a result so let’s go to Leicester, kickstart with another win and get our season going again.”

LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Nick Morris, Jake Allen, Dan Thompson.
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, David Bellego, Tobiasz Musielak, Adam Ellis, Lewis Kerr, Dan Gilkes.
