PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v IPSWICH (Sports Insure Prem)

WOLVERHAMPTON’S American star Luke Becker has lost his race to be fit for tonight’s (Monday) Sports Insure Premiership clash with Ipswich at Monmore Green.

Becker, who suffered a broken fibula, seven weeks ago was targeting the match against the Witches for his comeback, but the meeting comes too soon and Wolves have booked Craig Cook to guest.

The hosts have a 100 per cent home record but Ipswich won twice at Monmore last season, and they give a seasonal debut to Ben Barker who has replaced the unwell Erik Riss.

Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “We’re looking forward to the Ipswich match. We owe them one having lost twice to them at home last season.

“They’ve got a very strong team though, so it will be interesting to see what we can do against them.”

Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “We go to Wolverhampton in great form, and it will be nice to go as a full one to seven. Every time we go there it is a tough place to go, they are very good at their home track and have a good team again and have started the season well.

“We are going to have to perform extremely well to get a win at Wolves, but with our team we have a lot of race winners.

“Doyley (Jason Doyle) was amazing there last year, the way he rode Wolverhampton was outstanding, he was so quick around there, so we have race winners, we are in good form and have a good team, so we will go there looking to win the meeting.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Craig Cook, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
IPSWICH: Jason Doyle, Ben Barker, Danny King, Keynan Rew, Emil Sayfutdinov, Danyon Hume, Joe Thompson.
