PREVIEW: GLASGOW v SCUNTHORPE (BSN Series SF)

GLASGOW take a two-point advantage into the second leg of their BSN Series semi-final against Scunthorpe at Ashfield tonight (Friday).

The Tigers were 46-44 winners in an eventful opener in Lincolnshire last week and start the meeting as favourites to progress, with strong home form so far in 2023.

Both sides are at full strength, and Scorpions boss Dave Peet is keen to see his side bounce back from a below-par display on their own circuit and put some pressure on their hosts.
Peet said: “We’re not out of it yet, although we’re left ourselves with a very difficult task.

“I’d like for us to show people what we’re capable of, because I don’t feel we did that last Friday at Scunthorpe.

“In speedway, anything can happen, and just as we didn’t perform to our full potential last Friday, Glasgow could have a meeting like that around their place. We’ve got to go there and put a bit of pressure on them.”

GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Marcin Nowak, Benjamin Basso, Claus Vissing, Tom Brennan, Lee Complin, Ace Pijper.
SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Simon Lambert, Max Clegg, Jake Allen, Michael Palm Toft, Nathan Ablitt, Connor Mountain.
