PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v REDCAR (Cab Direct Champ)
EDINBURGH have called on former Monarchs star Justin Sedgmen to guest in tonight’s (Friday) Cab Direct Championship clash with Redcar.
Sedgmen has enjoyed plenty of success at Armadale in the past and stands in for injured skipper Josh Pickering, who is not yet ready for a comeback.
Meanwhile the Bears also bring in one of their ex-riders as Lewis Kerr guests for Erik Riss, who is recovering from a lumbar puncture procedure on Monday.
Monarchs star Lasse Fredriksen said: “Redcar look a strong team and we will need to be on our game from the start.
“We need to hit them hard early and stop them from thinking they have any chance of winning, then we can take that momentum through the rest of the meeting and pick up the victory.”
Redcar manager Gavin Parr said: “I know Edinburgh have only won one out of three at home this season, but they are a strong side.
“Lewi is really happy to come in and do a job for us and with him knowing the club and some of the lads, I think he’ll fit right in.”
EDINBURGH: Justin Sedgmen, Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Craig Cook, Kyle Bickley, Jacob Hook.
REDCAR: Lewis Kerr, Danyon Hume, Charles Wright, Connor Bailey, Danny King, Jason Edwards, Jake Mulford.
