POSTPONED: LEICESTER v KING’S LYNN (Prem)

THURSDAY’S Leicester v King’s Lynn fixture in the Premiership has been postponed due to a waterlogged track.

LEICESTER are targeting back-to-back home wins in tonight’s (Thursday) Premiership clash with King’s Lynn at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park.

The Lions gave a strong performance to defeat Wolverhampton last week and now face a Stars side who are keen to improve their away form.

Josh Pickering remains sidelined for the visitors with Tom Brennan coming in to guest at reserve.

Lions boss Stewart Dickson said: “We can certainly look forward to this meeting after our win last week, but we mustn’t under-estimate King’s Lynn because they’ve got riders who can ride here as well.

“However, the confidence is up now, our riders have shown they can do it, and now they will be expected to do it on a much more consistent basis.

“It was a very happy camp last week, which does come with winning of course, and the key now is to get a run of results going at home.”

Stars co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “We’re looking forward to going there as it’s been a few years since we’ve raced at Leicester, and it’s a meeting we should be looking to get something out of.

“They’re a team set up in a fairly similar way to us, albeit they have an out-and-out No.1 in Max Fricke, but we feel we have riders lower down the order who can make a difference.

“Tom Brennan is in good form at the moment so it’s good to have him as a guest, and several of our other riders have had good meetings there in the past, so we can go into it with a positive mindset.”

LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Nick Morris, Jake Allen, Dan Thompson.
KING’S LYNN: Nicolai Klindt, Thomas Jorgensen, Frederik Jakobsen, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Michael Palm Toft, Tom Brennan, Jason Edwards.
