PREVIEW: POOLE v PLYMOUTH (C-KOC)

POOLE will be at full strength for tonight’s (Wednesday) Championship KO Cup first leg clash with Plymouth at Wimborne Road.

Pirates second string Anders Rowe has been declared fit to ride after missing last week’s trip to the Coliseum in the BSN Series with a shoulder injury.

The last meeting between the clubs in Dorset resulted in a comfortable 59-30 win for Poole after a flying start – but in-form reserve Kyle Newman expects a tougher test this time around.

He said: “We know they are going to be out to try and come back at us a little bit more. Some of their riders didn’t come to the table so we just need to be our own confident selves, get out the traps and just do what we can do hopefully.

“You take (Kyle) Howarth. He didn’t have a good one last time, but he’s a good rider at the end of the day. He doesn’t do that very often, so you know that is going to improve, but we have just got to focus on our game and I think once we do that we start to win more matches.”

POOLE: Steve Worrall, Anders Rowe, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, Richard Lawson, Kyle Newman, Adam Roynon.
PLYMOUTH: Kyle Howarth, Dan Gilkes, Paul Starke, Ben Barker, Richie Worrall, Jake Turner, Ben Trigger.
