PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v PETERBOROUGH (Prem)

WOLVERHAMPTON are back at home for the first time in three weeks when they host Peterborough in the Premiership at Monmore tonight (Monday, 8pm).

The two clubs have experienced contrasting fortunes on track so far this season, with the Panthers still seeking their first league points whilst the hosts have been strong on their own circuit.

In-form Scott Nicholls again stands in for Wolves against his former club, who are still without the injured Luke Becker, whilst the visitors include both Chris Harris and ex-Wolves rider Nick Morris as replacements for Nicki Pedersen and Niels-Kristian Iversen, the latter due to an SEC qualifier in Hungary.

Wolves skipper Sam Masters said: “We’ve got off to a really good start, and the confidence is definitely on the up between the boys.

“We’re all feeling good and we’ve already shown what we’re capable of as a team. We just want to keep the good start going, but it will be good to get back to Wolves.”

Panthers boss Rob Lyon said: “In terms of replacements (for Pedersen) we’ve tried pretty much every rider of that type of quality, and more besides.

“We are still talking to riders and hopefully we can come up with something going forward, but time is of the essence. It’s an urgent situation now.

“It has to be within a very short space of time, because we’ve already ridden four matches with no wins, and Wolverhampton is another tough one.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Rory Schlein, Ryan Douglas, Scott Nicholls, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
PETERBOROUGH: Chris Harris, Hans Andersen, Richie Worrall, Benjamin Basso, Nick Morris, Ben Cook, Jordan Jenkins.
