DATES SET FOR JUBILEE FINAL

LEICESTER and Poole will stage their delayed Championship Jubilee League Final next month.

The two sides were repeatedly frustrated by the weather at the end of last season and are now in separate leagues this year.

But the competition will be completed with the first leg on May 13 at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park, with the return in Dorset at Wimborne Road on May 31.

Leicester, who are now a Premiership club, will build a team to a 40-point Championship limit in line with that league’s regulations.

Poole promoter Danny Ford said: “Trying to work out dates between two clubs in different leagues has proved a bit more difficult than we would have liked and we therefore want to apologise to supporters for the delay, as initially we had hoped for this to be the 2023 curtain raiser.

“But both ourselves and Leicester were determined to stage these outstanding fixtures particularly as there is silverware hanging out its outcome, and we believe our supporters deserve to see last season’s competition concluded.”
