PREVIEW: POOLE v PLYMOUTH (BSN Series)
POOLE look to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season when they face Plymouth in the BSN Series at Wimborne Road tonight (Wednesday).
The Pirates have already taken home and away wins over Oxford and a third victory would secure progression into the semi-finals prior to their final group match at the Coliseum.
But skipper Steve Worrall is taking nothing for granted and expects a strong challenge against the Gladiators.
He said: “If I look down the list of teams, Plymouth is the one that worries me most. Compared to last year’s side where they were patched up every week, they look strong.
“They are one of our closest rivals and it is like anything, when you go against your close rivals then it gets spiced up a bit.
“They’ve got some hungry riders who are not frightened to throw their weight about, so it will be a very interesting match.”
POOLE: Steve Worrall, Anders Rowe, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, Richard Lawson, Kyle Newman, Adam Roynon.
PLYMOUTH: Kyle Howarth, Dan Gilkes, Paul Starke, Ben Barker, Richie Worrall, Jake Turner, Ben Trigger.
