ROYALS READY FOR NDL TEST
KENT boss Si Kellow expects the appointment of new team boss Jamie Willis to pay dividends this season.
The Royals are going into their second year of NDL racing at Iwade having moved from nearby Central Park last winter, and Kellow says Willis has already played an important role as the club owner underwent a heart operation.
He said: “Jamie had a spreadsheet going from September with his thoughts and proposals, and with everything going on in my life lately it’s been great to let Jamie do the leg work and come back to me with updates.
“My heart says we have a fair chance of being there (in the hunt for the title), but there are five-and-a-half months of competition to get through before we can count our chickens.”
