DR PETER KENYON

BRITISH Speedway is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Dr Peter Kenyon at the age of 75.

Dr Kenyon was the track doctor at Coventry from the early 1970s, having followed his father into the role, and he also served for many years as doctor at FIM events staged in Great Britain.

He retired from practice last year, but continued for the remainder of the speedway season and was on duty for the Grand Prix Challenge at Glasgow and the British Grand Prix at Cardiff.

Peter would have continued to hold a role within the medical set-up this year but very sadly he passed away on Saturday due to complications arising from a hernia.

He loved the sport and made a huge contribution over more than half a century, with numerous riders benefiting from his expertise.

British Speedway sends our sincere condolences to Dr Kenyon’s family and friends.
