PREVIEW: BEN FUND BONANZA, KING’S LYNN
KING’S Lynn stage the 13th Benevolent Fund Bonanza today (Saturday, 5pm), the second such event to take place at the Adrian Flux Arena.
SRBF Chairman Paul Ackroyd reports preparations have been going well for the meeting, which raises vital funds for injured riders and always attracts a big crowd.
Ackroyd said: “It all looks positive at the moment, and as ever Buster Chapman and his team have pulled out all the stops to ensure that we have a good racing surface for the event.”
Start time for the meeting is 5pm with admission at the gate from 3.30pm.
There are two former winners in the line-up – the ever-present Ben Barker, who was victorious at Birmingham in 2012, and Danny King who won at Scunthorpe prior to Covid in 2020.
And there are another five riders who have previously been on a Bonanza podium – Steve and Richie Worrall, Charles Wright, Kyle Howarth and Fredrik Lindgren, with the Swede likely to start as favourite as he makes a welcome appearance back in the UK.
The meeting also features support races from British Youth and veterans, and an auction of memorabilia after the action.
