PREVIEW: POOLE v PLYMOUTH (Champ PO QF)

POOLE and Plymouth make another attempt to launch the Championship play-offs with the first leg of their quarter-final at Wimborne Road tonight (Wednesday).

The teams have been frustrated by the weather on three occasions, and they will now resolve the tie at the Coliseum next Tuesday.

The Pirates track their regular line-up whilst Gary Havelock, their regular manager for Northern meetings, steps in for boss Neil Middleditch who is away.

Leon Flint and Aaron Summers make guest appearances for the Gladiators in place of Ben Barker and Michael Palm Toft, whilst skipper Hans Andersen returns from concussion.

Poole promoter Danny Ford said: “If anything, the weather-enforced delay makes for an even tougher set of meetings as Plymouth will have Hans back after his concussion stand-down period imposed after he crashed in Middlo’s Testimonial.

“I am sure that the Poole fans will have a warm-hearted welcome for Hans as it did look a very nasty fall, and to be able to see him back racing so quickly is great.”

POOLE: Danny King, Ben Cook, Steve Worrall, Drew Kemp, Richard Lawson, Zach Cook, Nathan Ablitt.
PLYMOUTH: Edward Kennett r/r, Leon Flint, Ben Morley, Aaron Summers, Hans Andersen, Lee Complin, Connor Coles.
