PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v CRADLEY SELECT (Ch)
BIRMINGHAM and Cradley will attempt to do battle once again tonight (Wednesday) with the restaging of the Alan Grahame Memorial.
The West Midlands rivals were originally meant to meet last Wednesday, before the fixture was pulled on the same afternoon due to a waterlogged track.
But the season finale is now all set with two balanced, competitive line-ups including Josh Pickering at No.1 for the Brummies and Ryan Douglas his opposite number for the Heathens Select – who include six riders who appeared in their colours during their recent NDL era.
Birmingham promoter Nigel Tolley said: “Tonight’s all about ‘Big Al’ so we want a close, competitive meeting to honour his name.
“I don’t think there’s much between the two sides at all, both teams have got some real good racers who ride Perry Barr well and hopefully we’ll get a good turnout for the final meeting of the season.”
BIRMINGHAM: Josh Pickering, Dillon Ruml, James Wright, Simon Lambert, Justin Sedgmen, Jack Smith, James Pearson.
CRADLEY: Ryan Douglas, Max Clegg, Tom Brennan, Adam Roynon, Paul Starke, Tom Spencer, Tom Perry.
