ACES BOOK THEIR PLACE

BELLE Vue completed a 100 per cent home record and secured their place in the Premiership play-offs with a 54-36 win over Roses rivals Sheffield.

The Tigers were in contention at the halfway stage but a burst of three 5-1s in four races took the Aces clear to another convincing victory at the National Speedway Stadium.

Brady Kurtz top-scored with 13 points and reserve Norick Blodorn kept up his impressive run at home with 10+3.

Tigers guest Nicolai Klindt scored 12 and Jack Holder added 10+1, whilst skipper Kyle Howarth walked away from a heavy crash in Heat 14.

Aces star Charles Wright said: “This was a great result for us. There’s never an easy meeting at this track because so many away riders enjoy coming here.

“It demonstrates how strong we are at home and going into the play-offs now, it’s a very good position for us to be in and show how tough we can be.

“Sheffield kept things really close, and it was quite intense at times with the lead going back and forth between us, but by the end we managed to settle them down.”
