PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD v WOLVERHAMPTON (Prem)

SHEFFIELD face Wolverhampton at Owlerton tonight (Thursday) in a clash of two sides closing in on the Premiership play-offs.

The Tigers are set for a busy run of home fixtures this month whilst Wolves need one more league point to be mathematically certain of a top-four finish.

Adam Ellis is still on the sidelines for the home side, who operate rider replacement, whilst Ryan Douglas has declared himself fit for the visitors but Steve Worrall is ruled out with back trouble, with r/r covering his outings.

Sheffield boss Simon Stead said: “We’ve already seen this year how good Wolves are as visitors, they’ve got a lot of riders who like our place individually and they usually ride well as a team at Owlerton too.

“It feels like an absolute age since we rode at home as a team last and that doesn’t make our task any easier – but be assured that the boys will battle right until the end and we want to keep our home results going.”

Wolves skipper Sam Masters said: “We had a good couple of meetings against Belle Vue despite missing a few riders and despite not having a fully fit team, and we reminded everyone what we’re about, I guess.

“It would be nice if we could go and get something out of Sheffield – we’ve had some really close meetings with them this year.”

SHEFFIELD: Tobiasz Musielak, Lewis Kerr, Adam Ellis R/R, Kyle Howarth, Jack Holder, Justin Sedgmen, Connor Mountain.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall R/R, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Nick Morris, Drew Kemp, Leon Flint.
