PIRATES SET Q/F DATE

POOLE have set the date of Wednesday September 7 for the home leg of their Championship play-off quarter-final.

The Pirates will complete the regular league schedule in third place but their opposition is as yet unknown as Plymouth, Scunthorpe and Redcar could all finish sixth depending on upcoming results.

Poole co-promoter Danny Ford said: “We are having to plan our meetings because we are still actively involved in all three competitions the league are staging, but whoever our opponents turn out to be it will be very much like a Final for us.

“That is the approach we need to take as all our remaining fixtures could be competition eliminators.

“Tickets for the 7th will be going on sale shortly and we would encourage fans to book early as it will be a big meeting for us.”
