PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v IPSWICH (Prem)

KING’S Lynn have new signing Nicolai Klindt making his first appearance in tonight’s (Thursday) Premiership local derby clash with leaders Ipswich.

But the Stars are without Lewis Kerr due to a collarbone injury, with Kasper Andersen coming in to guest, whilst Jason Edwards continues at reserve with Jack Thomas’s comeback again on hold.

The Witches bring in squad rider Anders Rowe for a guest appearance due to Ben Barker’s suspension, whilst rider replacement covers the injured Erik Riss.

King’s Lynn co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “Ipswich are top of the league for a reason and we’re under no illusions that this will be a difficult match.

“Doyley (Jason Doyle) is a relentless force in this division, so we know what to expect to a certain degree.

“They come here without two of our former riders, Ben and Erik, which definitely weakens them, but we can’t take anything for granted and need to be on it from the very start.”

Ipswich boss Ritchie Hawkins said: “Erik had a successful operation which showed no ligament damage, but he will still be out for four to six weeks which takes us to the play-offs.

“We are definitely looking at options at what we can do regarding that, and that may or may not include Ben’s situation which we should know more about imminently.

“It gives us the opportunity to bring Anders in and I know there has been lots of different talk and rumours about him. For us at Ipswich, he has always been available for selection, but Danyon (Hume) got his shot and came into the side, and he has been brilliant and nailed a place down.”

KING’S LYNN: Josh Pickering, Thomas Jorgensen, Richie Worrall, Nicolai Klindt, Richard Lawson, Kasper Andersen, Jason Edwards.
IPSWICH: Jason Doyle, Erik Riss R/R, Danny King, Anders Rowe, Troy Batchelor, Paul Starke, Danyon Hume.
