PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE v REDCAR (CJL)
SCUNTHORPE welcome back Finnish star Tero Aarnio for their Championship Jubilee League clash with Redcar at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (Friday).
Aarnio returns to the side after injury in place of Jordan Palin, who is out for the season, whilst the Scorpions operate rider replacement for Jake Allen who is not ready yet for a comeback.
The Bears also have r/r in operation after Erik Riss was injured in Poland last weekend.
Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Tero rode in Poland last weekend, so he will be returning to the side. But unfortunately, Jake didn’t get the news he wanted when he went for a check-up on Monday and it’s going to be another week before he’s properly fit again.
“I’m predicting another fantastic night of speedway, while in a three-team mini-league, it’s vital not to lose at home.
“We avoided that last week against Leicester, and we need to make sure we get another three points against Redcar to add to our account tonight, ahead of our away meetings at Redcar and Leicester next weekend.”
SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Simon Lambert, James Wright, Jake Allen r/r, Tero Aarnio, Adam Roynon, Zaine Kennedy.
REDCAR: Charles Wright, Jason Edwards, Erik Riss r/r, Kasper Andersen, Lewis Kerr, Kyle Bickley, Jordan Jenkins.
