SEASON OVER FOR SHANES

JAMES Shanes has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after a grasstrack crash in Holland on Saturday.

The Birmingham and Mildenhall racer sustained a broken arm and rib injuries, and was set for an operation on Sunday.

Brummies boss Laurence Rogers said: “Shanesie doesn’t have much luck does he?

“It’s only a couple of years since his season ended early after a big crash on the grass and now it’s happened again.

“He’s having his arm operated on on Sunday but that’s his season done unfortunately. Naturally we send him our best wishes and wish him a speedy recovery.

“I’m already working on guests for our meetings against Oxford this week and we’ll have to take a look and see what happens after that.”
