FLINT & HAGON HEAD TO PAIRS

LEON Flint and Sam Hagon will represent Great Britain in this Saturday’s FIM European Under-19 Pairs Final at Riga.

GB just missed out on a silver medal last year when they were beaten by host nation Poland in a run-off at Gdansk.

Flint has been in great form for Berwick whilst Oxford’s Hagon competed in this year’s FIM World Under-21 qualifiers at the other Latvian venue Daugavpils, and has also been nominated for the FIM European Under-19 qualifiers in Zarnovica, Slovakia later this month.

GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “This year’s event has been awarded to Latvia to host as the winners of last year’s competition, so as the home nation they will be defending their title.

“With Jordan Palin now being ruled out for the rest of the 2022 season ironically being injured in a training event for this competition, GB will be represented by Leon and Sam.”

As well as Latvia, Great Britian will be up against teams from Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, and Germany.
