PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v OXFORD (Champ)

EDINBURGH face Oxford at Armadale tonight (Friday) in the first meeting between the clubs since the 1997 KO Cup Final.

This is now a significant fixture in the Championship play-off race, with the sides both just outside the top six, and it is the Cheetahs’ final away match of the regular league campaign.

The Monarchs bring in Lee Complin to guest at reserve for the injured James Sarjeant, who is expected back next week along with Lasse Fredriksen, for whom rider replacement is in operation.
Scott Nicholls is ruled out again for the Cheetahs and is replaced by Ricky Wells.

Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “It will be a tough match especially now that Aaron Summers is in their side, but it doesn’t matter how tough they are – we have to take them on and win at home against them.

“You can look at them and say they have people who have done very, very well at Armadale in the past, but surely they’ve not done any better than what our top two do each week.

“It’s up to us to win, it’s essential that we do if we are to be in the play-offs.”
