PREVIEW: DANNY’S DAY, MILDENHALL

MILDENHALL stage a special benefit meeting in memory of former Fen Tigers racer Danny Ayres today (Sunday, 2pm).

‘Danny’s Day’ was initially scheduled for 2020 but was held over due to the pandemic, and a 29-race programme has been arranged with all proceeds going towards the futures of his two young daughters.

The meeting features a main event including a host of senior stars and riders who raced alongside Ayres, with the line-up including Danny King, Richard Lawson and Ben Barker.

There is also a mini-meeting featuring several Mildenhall regulars and other NDL racers.

Race-jackets will be auctioned after the meeting along with other speedway items, and a number of former riders will be in attendance.
