PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v LEICESTER (Champ)

EDINBURGH expect another big test when they host Championship leaders Leicester at Armadale tonight (Friday).

The Monarchs lost their last home match against Glasgow but ran the Tigers close in the return fixture, and are back at full strength against the Lions with James Sarjeant lining up at reserve against his former club.

The visitors reach the halfway stage in their league schedule and are yet to win on the road. They bring in Kyle Bickley to guest for the unwell Anders Rowe.

Monarchs reserve Jacob Hook said: “All the boys have been fast when we have been on it, but last time against Glasgow we were just a bit off and were missing the starts and that’s where Glasgow beat us.

“So we need to get back to getting out the start against Leicester who are a good team, that will help us get back to winning ways.”

Lions boss Stewart Dickson said: “Edinburgh is a circuit that several of our riders can get round and have done well on in the past, so we will be travelling there with no fears.

“I know they got heavily beaten in their last home match so we have to be aware there could be a reaction to that, but there’s no reason why we can’t come away with something.”
