KENT and Mildenhall fought out a 45-45 draw in the National Development League at Iwade on Sunday.
New Royals signing Max Clegg completed a 15-point maximum in a Heat 15 5-1 for the home side to level the scores, with Ben Morley also unbeaten on 13+2.
The draw was a better result for the Fen Tigers, for whom reserve Josh Warren piled up a remarkable 18+1 score, but they are now six points behind fourth-placed Oxford with one match in hand.
They are seven behind Belle Vue having raced two fewer meetings, whilst Kent are now nine points off the play-off places.
