LIONS MOVE FOR MOUNTAIN

LEICESTER have recalled 2019 title winner Connor Mountain as their first confirmed signing for next season.

Mountain, a club asset, spent this year on loan to Newcastle but boss Stewart Dickson has wasted no time in bringing him back to the Beaumont Park club.

Said Mountain: “I’m thrilled to be back with the club and can’t wait for the new season to start.

“I was gutted when I wasn’t part of the team plans this season after having such a strong season in 2019 when we won the league, but that’s speedway.

“I have kept in touch with Stewart, and when he approached me to sign again I jumped at the chance.

“It’s a track I really enjoy riding. It’s always well prepared, and the fans are just brilliant and always turn up in numbers on a Saturday night.”
