PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v BELLE VUE (Prem)
NEW King’s Lynn boss Alex Brady faces a baptism of fire as the Stars host away-day specialists Belle Vue at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Thursday).
Brady is boosted by the return from injury of German ace Erik Riss, who scored 13+1 for his Championship club Birmingham last night, as they seek a first home win of the season.
The Aces, meanwhile, have top spot in their sights and could take over from Wolverhampton with a win depending on the outcome of Peterborough’s visit to Sheffield.
Brady said: “I know a lot of the guys anyway and they impressed me at Sheffield last week when we went close to an away win.
“We know how tough Belle Vue will be and I don’t have a magic wand to wave, but we’ll be going our very best.”
Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “We’ve experienced a lot of success at King’s Lynn and already this year we have come away with a significant win from the Adrian Flux Arena.
“That is an absolute must for us on Thursday. Things are getting even closer in the race for the play-offs so we need to keep the pressure on.
“But if the boys can respond in the same way they responded on Monday at Peterborough, I think we can and will replicate our previous successes there.”
KING’S LYNN: Thomas Jorgensen, Cameron Heeps R/R, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Connor Mountain, Ricky Wells.
BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Richie Worrall, Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Dan Bewley, Tom Brennan, Jye Etheridge.
