PREVIEW: BERWICK v SCUNTHORPE (Champ)

SCUNTHORPE star Thomas Jorgensen believes the Scorpions can quickly bounce back when they visit Berwick tonight (Saturday).

After a home KO Cup defeat against Leicester, they return to league action at Shielfield Park where Jorgensen had a spell as home rider in 2015-16.

Former Scorpions rider Jake Allen makes a guest appearance in place of Josh Auty, who is out with a swollen knee.

He said: “I think we’re in with a good chance. I believe the track is now a bit wider than before, so I’m hoping there will be good racing.

“The track suits a number of our riders, who have a leg-trailing style. Theo (Pijper) is a really good longtrack rider and he’s really good around Berwick and there’s a few of us who can ride it well.”

BERWICK: Aaron Summers, Coty Garcia r/r, Jye Etheridge, Dany Gappmaier, Nikolaj B Jakobsen, Kyle Bickley, Leon Flint, Greg Blair (no.8).
SCUNTHORPE: Jake Allen, Simon Lambert, Theo Pijper, Tero Aarnio, Thomas Jorgensen, Josh MacDonald, Jordan Palin.
