PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v WOLVERHAMPTON (Prem)
KING’S Lynn and Wolverhampton both look to get off the mark in the Premiership when they meet at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Thursday).
The Stars were beaten at home by Ipswich last week when their slow start to the meeting in wet conditions proved too much to recover, whilst Wolves are yet to race after their home opener on Monday was rained-off.
Both sides are at full strength with former Stars rider Rory Schlein leading the visitors – and Broc Nicol making his Wolves debut against the club he joined in 2019 before injury prevented him from making an appearance.
King’s Lynn favourite Erik Riss said: “Hopefully we can get things right from the start against Wolverhampton. We need to pick up from where we left off against Ipswich when we finished the meeting strongly.
“It was disappointing to lose but we can take the positives from it. The fans were great with us last week, they didn’t get on our backs, it was just so good to have speedway back at King’s Lynn.”
Wolves star Luke Becker said: “I’m really excited about the new season here in the UK and really want to get going.
“We have a good team here at Wolverhampton and we all get on great, I’m looking forward to it.”
KING’S LYNN: Craig Cook, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Lewis Kerr, Erik Riss, Lewis Bridger, Ryan Kinsley.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Nick Morris, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Broc Nicol, Tom Bacon.
